Peter and Jeanette Chafe, Owners, were married in 1982 and they have two daughters, Jessica (Devin Brow) and Emily (Steve Rankin) and five granddaughters Lexi, Livie, Lola, Luna, and Kira. Peter started working in the industry in 1977 and moved to Port Hawkesbury in 1981. Together they opened Chafe’s Flooring and Furniture in 1986.

They have enjoyed working with many people over the years and invite you to drop in for all your flooring and furniture needs.  They are thankful to all their customers for their support over the last 40 years and look forward to meeting with you.

Peter and Jeanette support many community events and they are proud and appreciative of their staff and their dedication.

Darlene has guided us from the very beginning and we don’t know where we would be without her. The statement “do you want to talk to the person in charge or the one who knows what is going on” holds very true here. Darlene is our rock and go to person when it comes to our company’s organization and efficiency. She brings a laugh with her everyday and we are lucky to have her and all she brings to our daily work routine.

Lucas is a terrific team player and loves working with our customers to look after all their needs and product inquiries. Lucas is a multi tasker who is involved in all aspects of running our business and we are lucky to have him on our team.
